The “Outreach Music Interest Courses” organized by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will be held from March to August 2026, featuring a series of foundation courses of Chinese and Western musical instruments and workshops on various topics. Members of the public are welcome to apply.

The application deadline is January 15, 2026. Oversubscribed courses will be processed by ballot. For courses not fully taken up after the first round of applications, places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis from February 12 onwards.

-       New course: Workshop on Arranging Music for Chinese Instrumental Ensembles

-       Online course: ABCs of Musicianship

-       Ensemble playing: Chinese Ensemble・Chinese Wind Ensemble・Western Ensemble・Western Woodwind Ensemble

-       Instrumental enrichment: Dizi・Erhu・Yangqin・Zheng・Flute・Clarinet・Saxophone・Violin・Cello

-       Others: Hulusi・Classical Guitar・Ukulele・Keyboard・Aural Training・Music Theory

Instrument Foundation Classes

-       Chinese: Dizi・Xiao・Zhongruan・Liuqin・Pipa・Yangqin・Zheng・Erhu

-       Western: Trumpet・Flute・Clarinet・Saxophone・Violin・Viola・Cello・Percussion (Glockenspiel & Practice Pad)
