2026 Man Kee Cup Essay Competition

Theme

Entrants may choose their own title based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and select one of the three categories below:
  1. The Past of AI
     
    Regarded as a core driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, AI began its development across various sectors in the 1940s. Explore how AI evolved from inception to widespread practical use today.
  2. AI and Me
     
    AI has been widely adopted in daily life. Discuss how AI integrates into your life and how humans can make good use of it.
  3. AI in the Future
     
    With maturing AI technology, analyse how humanity can coexist with AI, maximize its strengths, and weigh up its developmental benefits and potential risks.

Eligibility

Secondary school students, tertiary students in Hong Kong, and Hong Kong residents aged 18 or above.

Submission Requirements

  1. No restriction on writing genres; all entries must carry an original relevant title.
  2. Word count (punctuation included; poems exempted):
  • Junior Secondary: minimum 800 words
  • Senior Secondary: minimum 1200 words
  • Open Category: minimum 2500 words

Entry Submission

Entries together with the entry form and copy of student ID / HKID shall be submitted on or before Friday, 10 July 2026.

Option 2: Email .doc file to ccahk2009@gmail.com.
 
Mark mail / email subject: 2026 Man Kee Cup Essay Competition.
※ All entries must state entrant’s name, school & class (if applicable), contact number and email address.
 
※ Results will be announced on the Association’s website (http://chineseca.org.hk) on 22 September 2026; winners will be notified via email individually.
