In response to the Education Bureau’s launch of the Digital Education Series for professional development, Hong Kong Education City (HKEdCity) is introducing the “Digital Education and AI Professional Training”, working with teachers to explore how digital education can enhance teaching. These two workshops will focus on cybersecurity and AI in education, helping teachers use digital tools safely and enhance teaching quality, and join HKEdCity in shaping a new AI-driven era in education.
Workshop 1: Cybersecurity Workshop — Practical Insights from Government to Campus
In the digital era, cybersecurity has become a critical issue for every organization. Both government departments and educational institutions face constant cyber threats, making it essential to establish effective defense and response mechanisms.
This workshop invites Mr. Ken Chan, Senior Specialist - Cybersecurity Consulting at Hong Kong Broadband, to share first-hand experiences and explore practical challenges and strategies in different scenarios. Participants will gain insights into the latest trends and hands-on strategies. This event is fully supported by the Association of IT Leaders in Education (AiTLE) and serves as a valuable opportunity for professional exchange between the industry and the education sector.

Workshop 2: Innovative Practices in AI Education
Artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming education—from lesson design to learning assessment—bringing unprecedented possibilities through technological innovation. Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong each have unique approaches to implementing digital education. How can teachers seize this trend and leverage AI to improve teaching quality? This has become a key topic in recent years.
This workshop cordially invites Mr. Xiao Yanyu, Deputy Director of the Youth AI Education Joint Laboratory at the Institute of New Generation Information Technology, Peking University, and Mr. Carl Su, Product Director of China Mobile Hong Kong, to analyze the latest developments in Chinese Mainland’s AI ecosystem and share case studies of AI applications across different subjects. The session will also compare AI education practices in Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong from a macro perspective, inspiring teachers to innovate classrooms with technology and broaden educational horizons.
