Some people might believe that children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) start life from a particularly challenging starting line, and that parents need to invest even more effort when accompanying and supporting them. In fact, parents can become their children’s “Brain Coaches.” Whether or not a child has SEN, we believe parents will gain new inspiration from the speakers in this seminar. Parents are not merely “Children's Learning Assistant,” but the best “Brain Coaches” their children can have!
This seminar brings together two speakers with different backgrounds but equally rich hands‑on experience. They will offer inspiring parenting perspectives from both the “parental companionship” and “professional support” angles. The first speaker, Ms. Renee Leung, is a parent of a child with SEN. She will share, from the viewpoint of a “fellow companion,” how to use positive thinking to accompany her child’s growth—helping her child progress from being an average student to gaining admission, through perseverance and effort, to a world top‑100 university of his choice. The second speaker, Mr. Lawrence Chan, has accumulated over 1,500 hours of practical experience supporting SEN students. He has served in schools, the Education Bureau, and NGOs, focusing on providing social, emotional, and executive functioning training for ASD and AD/HD students. He excels at transforming complex theories into practical strategies that both parents and teachers can apply.
We believe this parent seminar will resonate deeply with parents—especially those raising SEN children—and help them discover new pathways in their parenting journey.
