This seminar is grounded in the practical needs of school education and explores how values education and national education can be integrated into the curriculum and student activities in order to support the effective implementation of national security education in schools. The sharing will focus on directions for future national development and examine their teaching implications for primary and secondary education, including ways to strengthen students’ understanding of national conditions, foster a sense of national identity, and guide students to learn about the development of innovation and technology as well as emerging industries through daily teaching.
The seminar will also share practical experience in leading students on study tours to Mainland cities, covering themes such as history and culture, the history of the War of Resistance, as well as industrial and innovation development. It will further introduce how classic reading, field visits and enquiry‑based learning can be used to translate learning outcomes into school‑based practice. Finally, the seminar will summarise experience in promoting national education both inside and outside the classroom, illustrating how cross‑curricular connections can be made through lessons, classroom teaching and the school library, and how external resources can be effectively utilised, while also discussing the strengths and challenges involved.
