Eligibility 1) All the courses are designed for music beginner without musical training background.
2) Applicants must meet the age requirement as stated in each course.  The age of applicants is calculated as at 16 July 2025.

Parent-child Jolly Music Time Aged 4-6

The course instructor of this paired music workshop will introduce basic music concepts such as note values, music notation, rhythms and different Chinese and western musical instruments, and help children to develop their sense of rhythm, listening, learning skills and concentration through an array of interactive activities.

Target Participants Children aged 4 to 6, each with an accompanying parent/ adult
Lesson 5 lessons, 1 hour and 15 minutes each
Tuition Fee $400
Quota per Class 20 pairs of child and parent/ adult
Required Materials             Basic stationery, including blue or black ballpoint pen, 2B pencils, color pens and eraser

The World of Pitch Sensitivity Aged 4-6 (NEW)

The Education University of Hong Kong has developed a revolutionary programme to enhance children’s sensitivity to pitch through a series of tailored singing and rhythm exercises.

Musical Instrument Kaleidoscope 【Aged 6-9 (parent-child)】

This paired music workshop is designed for children and parents to get to know the appearance, tone colours and characteristics of the Chinese and western musical instruments by viewing and listening to the live demonstration of the Music Office instrumental instructors.  Through the close encounters, children can explore and discover their favourite instruments and get prepared for their music learning in the future.

The Magic of Musical Rhythms For aged 6-9 (parent-child)For aged 10-12(NEW)

The commonly used musical rhythms, with classical music works as examples, will be introduced.  Children will get to know different musical rhythms and develop classical music appreciation.

iJam Music-making For aged 10-12For aged 13-15

This music workshop is hosted by a professional song producer.  Students will learn the fundamental skills in music production and experience hands-on music making by utilising the software application on iPad.

Required Materials      iPad with pre-installed GarageBand
