To help students build a strong foundation in programming at an earlier stage, CUHK Innovation and Technology Student Club & the secretariat of Robotics, STEM and Green Innovation will organise two Python application workshops in December and January respectively, allowing secondary and senior primary students to experience the joy of creating scientific analysis software and developing games.
All students who complete a workshop (by attending all sessions of their chosen workshop) will receive an e-certification. Everyone is warmly welcome to register!
Details are as follows:
Workshop 1: Using Python to Analyse Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals
Dates: 6 December and 20 December (Saturdays; 2 sessions in total)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Format: Online via Zoom
Target participants: Secondary 2 (Form 2/Grade 8) or above
Requirements: Participants must bring their own computer/laptop
Registration deadline: 12:00 noon, 2 December
Workshop 2: Create Your Own Game with Python
Dates: 3 January and 17 January (Saturdays; 2 sessions in total)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Format: Online via Zoom
Target participants: Primary 5 or above
Requirements: Participants must bring their own computer/laptop
Registration deadline: 12:00 noon, 17 December
Students from all schools, students and members of the Innovation and Technology Student Council (ITSC) are welcome to apply. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until full.
The Secretariat will send confirmation emails to successfully registered participants as soon as possible after a workshop is full or the registration deadline has passed.
