As generative artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into educational practice, teachers must not only master the operational tools but also cultivate the capacity for responsible AI adoption. Grounded in AI ethics, this seminar explores the professional role and pedagogical judgement of teachers when utilising AI. It introduces prompt engineering and human–AI collaboration strategies to support educators in striking a balance between innovative practice and core educational values. The seminar also shares practical experiences of AI integration in mathematics education (AI in Maths) as well as across teaching and learning (AI in Teaching and Learning). It demonstrates how effective prompting can support lesson design, learning activities, and student engagement, facilitating the effective use of AI in the classroom.
