To promote a better understanding of our nation, Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) is organising the "National Identity (NI) App Design Competition 2026/27" from October 2026 to April 2027, offering a multitude of opportunities for students to:
▶ Explore innovative technology and integrate it with national elements, thereby experiencing the development of our nation.
▶ Deepen their understanding of the nation, develop their understanding and awareness of nationhood, and strengthen their sense of national identity.
▶ Promote collaboration among peers and related objectives by innovative means, encouraging a deeper understanding of the close relationship between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong. 

To support this year's "National Identity App Design Competition 2026/27", EdCity is holding a Competition Briefing Session (2) & Online Training Workshop on 16 November 2026 to introduce the entry requirements, important dates, and judging criteria to teachers and students. The session will also provide training on WeChat Mini Program development. Through hands-on demonstrations and on-the-spot guidance, it will help teachers and students master practical app design methods and prepare for the competition. The session will be open to upper primary and junior secondary students, as well as their guiding teachers.
